Nick
Mawrenko visited our group again today. He is a partner in a
small payroll service company. He reminded us that, unlike
the larger payroll companies, his can offer personalized service
by getting to know you and your business. He can add value
to your business while keeping you in compliance and out of
trouble.
Click here to view part 1 of his application.
Mike Whalen posted
part 1 of the
membership application for Don LaBarge. Because he
provides vent cleaning services to restaurants, he would not
gain leads by joining our group but Mike feels he would greatly
benefit from the business information exchange. Don Ellis
uses his service and is working with Mike on this membership
proposal.

Roger Carpenter would like to hold an open
house on Saturday, August 13th. He can only accommodate
about 36 people so we will need to circulate a signup sheet.
He also invited members to a major tasting event going on next
Saturday from 2pm-4pm at his location. The cost is $25 per
person.

about being near bankruptcy was just a joke! Please do not
panic.

This week's
leads focus...
Business Spotlight
Gary Nelson was today's Spotlight.
Things have been going nicely for his company. His
Eastside store is open and doing well. So well, in fact,
that he hired a manager to run things. He also hired a
manager for the 4 construction crews that he has out in the
field. They are expanding the kind of work that they do
and creating a niche for themselves. Gary is spending his
time doing outside sales which he prefers (note the dressier
attire) . He is trying to spend more time selling to
contractors as opposed to the direct user. Its going
reasonably well.
Notable Mentions
Roman Okonowski suggested that the
group discuss business succession plans. He is
interested in learning about what other members are doing
with their businesses as they near semi or full retirement
from them. Jim Bache will add a group discussion date
for this topic to the Speaker Schedule.
Main Speaker
James
E. Bache, P.C.
Attorney at
Law
Jim has been an attorney since 1980. He
does estate planning (before death) and probate work (after
death).
Jim is a native of the Phoenix area. He
has been married for 27 years. He has two intelligent
daughters that he is very proud of. For fun Jim likes to
fly small planes. He flew his first solo at the age of 16
and got his license at 17. I you want a thrill ride give
him a call!
Jim passed out 3 handouts this morning...
While he went into great detail to explain
how Arizona laws affect different situations, his speech was not
intended to be legal advise. Everyone's situation is
unique. The safest action to take is to talk to Jim.
He can review your particular situation and advise you on the
best course of action to take.
