Business Spotlight

Sandro Menasci was today's Business Spotlight.   He was born in Italy where his father owned a repair shop.  Sandro was born into the business.  He opened his own shop in 1971 in Canada.  Over the years he has acquired a great deal of knowledge.  And just this month he acquired a second location on Main between Stapley and Gilbert.  He has a small sign and his shop is hard to see so just look for the Radio Shack...he's next door!  This new shop features 5 bays and a lot of expensive equipment.  But most of you will appreciate the waiting room with a TV and - coming soon - internet access!  Sandro appreciates the trust that his MABE clients have in him and his technicians.  When they fix the cars they treat them as if they were their own.  They won't do anything that isn't necessary.  Between Sandro's experience and knowledge and the fancy new equipment, you can rest assured that you will be taken care of.

Main Speaker

Greg Stewart
FASTFRAME

Greg Stewart was today's main speaker.  He always finds it interesting to see what members do and say in their speeches.  It gives you insight into their priorities in life.  So he began by telling the group what his priorities in life are.  Number one is God and his faith.  Second is his wife and family.  He is a cowboy at heart so his western collection and his home in Arizona also land high on his list of priorities.

Greg actually has two successful careers going right now.  Most of you are familiar with his FASTFRAME franchise.  But some may not know about the voice work he does as Desert Voice Creations.  If that voice you hear on the radio or while sitting on hold on the telephone sounds familiar...most likely it is Greg.  His time has been limited since opening his 3rd FASTFRAME store so he hasn't marketed this business lately.  But he still keeps busy on repeat business, a lot of which comes from fellow MABE members.  You might think it looks easy but it really does require a certain talent to walk in and do a cold read.  You have to change your style depending on the message.  One read will be authoritative and the next animated and energetic.  Sometimes you are dealing with long sentences filled with technical terms that are difficult to pronounce.  Sometimes you are dealing with poor grammar.  But, as Greg stated, you have to be careful giving clients advice.

The FASTFRAME business is Greg's primary focus.  But it wasn't always that way.  Greg grew up on a farm and everyone in that community stayed on the farms.  Except Greg.  He wanted to be a disk jockey.  So he got into the radio industry.  This is where he met his wife, Pat.  He started as a disk jockey and worked his way up through the ranks to become general manager.  He was at the top of his career when he was fired.  This would usually be remembered as a tragic episode in one's life but for Greg it was actually a good thing.  It prompted the move to his beloved Arizona.

After moving to Arizona, Greg and Pat opened one of the first FASTFRAME franchises.  It is now the largest franchise in the world and the Stewart's are considered the pioneers.  They absolutely love it.  Greg is a people person and loves meeting new customers.  His work is so meaningful.  Sometimes the response is sad because the items being framed are so sentimental but mostly the looks on people's faces are that of extreme happiness.

They appreciate all of the repeat business from MABE members, past and present, as well as the referrals they give.  And on that note...Just remember, the Christmas season has begun early this year so get your items in now to frame.
