Other Suggestions:

  • Turn off cell phones

  • Less funny comments, more professionalism

  • Revive Question of Day

  • Main speeches - more business, less personal.

  • More round table and panel discussions

  • Enforce attendance

  • More business discussions

  • More outside speakers

  • Remove Spotlight

  • Require two members to vouch for potential member

  • Drop card tricks...add tap dancing!

  • We have good stuff - Just mix it up!

In response to the meeting time replies...Mike would like to see all members arrive at 7:00am from now on.  He will step up to the podium at 7:15am to start the meeting.  This gives members 15 minutes before the meeting starts to visit, conduct business, etc.

Mike will also encourage speaker variety including more outside speakers during his term as president.

A young board is taking over.  Feel free to give your input on the direction we take MABE.

Main Speaker

Stuart Schindler
City Center Printing

Today's Main Speaker was the one...the only....Stuart Schindler!

 For his speech Stuart...

1) Recapped his last speech.
2) Went over handouts that included sayings, jokes, etc.
3) Gave members the MABE quiz.  If you failed, you're a duck!
4) Talked about his favorite books.
5) Surprised us with a brief mention of business which must be doing well because he had a lot of giveaways today including the almighty dollar!

(Thanks for the outline, Stuzie!)

As stated above, Stuart surprised us today.  He actually talked a little business!  Business cards to be exact.  They are getting fancier but it won't cost you more.  How?  It is very logical.  Mass produce!  The printers spread the cost out.  There is really no way you can spend more than $150 on a box of cards.

If you want to order holiday cards from the catalog Stuart provided, don't get hung-up on the dates and percentages.  He is going to make it easy for you.  Call him before December 2nd and get 35% - no fuss, no muss.

Stuart wants to be an eagle. Join him wont' you?
