Questions to Ponder...
What was said to you to get you to accept the invitation to join
MABE?
Once you got here, was it different from what you expected? If yes,
how?
Why do you show up now?
Intention of this Discussion...
When we leave here today consider one thing you could do differently
that would improve MABE both when you are here and when you leave.
Just a few ways to do that:
-
Keep MABE members top-of-mind.
-
Shake someone's hand when you come
in.
-
Think of how we can create and promote business for others.
-
Answer questions during leads. (For
example, "The kind of client l am looking for is...")
-
Tell something about your business
during leads (For example, "This week we have a special on...")
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and
expecting different results.
Is there a difference
between a lead, a prospect, a referral and repeat business?
After many comments were made it
became clear that members had different ideas of what constitutes a lead.
Some feel that giving leads during introductions are a waste of time
that would be better spent on other discussions. The reason for
using numbers during leads was also discussed. Why record them? Instead of giving leads, it was suggested that we spend time thanking
people. Although this is a leads group, many members say that they
don't come for the leads.
Quote of the Day... "Its a
beautiful day! Lets go talk to some CPA's."
How do you
demonstrate that you are a member of MABE?
-
Wear your MABE shirts
-
Participate
-
Show up at meetings
-
Join the board or a committee
-
Mentioning MABE
-
Bring in new members
-
Making speeches
-
Brochures
-
Promoting member businesses
-
Demonstrating your pride
-
Support each other
Some do all of the above. Some do
half. Some none.
Could this group do more if each person
did one more thing?
In closing...
Make a promise to your buddy on what you will do differently based
on today's discussion.
