Main Speaker

[membersonly/archives/former_members/ahrensdorf.htm]

Amy passed out a copy of a review of her cooking in Phoenix Magazine.  The review is from her work at Downunder Wines (owned by former member, Roger Carpenter).

She also played a video of her cooking series on the Maricopa County Home Show.

Cooking Tips (from the video):

  • Check the temperature in the thigh of the chicken because dark meat cooks slower.

  • Set your kitchen timer so you don't  forget the meat on the stove!

  • Cook once. Eat twice. Reduce your electricity bill.

  • To get that nice criss-cross look on your meat cook it on the grill at a 180-degree angle for 2.5 minutes in each direction.  Remember to cover the meat with foil to keep the heat in.

The 13 cooking show segments that Amy did helped her get comfortable in front of the camera. This was just another phase in her ongoing pursuit to reinvent herself. Three events have happened since she last spoke that also affected her "reinvention" process. These events included crossing paths with a terminally ill boy named Nicky.  Through the course of her association with him she was led to go back to school to study healing arts.  While she will continue to consult, she will not limit herself to this endeavor.  She will continue to re-energize, self-express and go wherever life leads her.
