Question of the Day

What would you like to see changed in the world?
What can you do that would make a difference?

Nick Mawrenko recently saw the movie Amazing Grace and these questions came to mind.
If there is something you are passionate about - whether in your business or in your personal life -
do it until it is done.

Main Speaker

[delete/bios/other/roundtable.htm]

Mark Howard

Mike Tanner did a great job sparking enthusiasm during his term as president.  Mark would like to continue this trend of improving MABE, building up the group and bringing diversity to the group.

One thing he would really like to do is have more socials...Preferably one each month.

He would like everyone's input on social events that they would like to have.  Dave Spiess is currently working on a wine tasting event.  Lisa Wolfe announced plans to go to the OK Corral in April.  If you have other ideas,  please follow protocol and mention your ideas to the board who will discuss the idea before presenting it to the membership.

One member suggested incorporating socials into a membership drive.  Another member would like to see MABE sometimes supplement events since we have the funds to do this.  Not all members agree with this, however.  Their view was that this is not a social club and any extra money should go to promote the business of MABE or the dues should be reduced.

The membership process was briefly discussed.  Members would like to see more information provided on the
membership applications.  They would also like an explanation when an application is rejected.

Members like the business aspect of the meetings.  We need to continue that.

Mark is looking for volunteers for a leads committee.  We are a leads group and we should not lose focus of this.

Focus on leads this week!
