Joe Hesch has been a member of MABE going on 10 years.  He has been in the mortgage business since 1994.

Today he touched on credit scores, credit repair and pressing local housing issues.

Your Credit Scores <-Click here to view the handout.
This handout breaks down the 5 parts to your FICO credit scores and provides examples of how actions can affect your score and offers helpful tips.  Joe noted that scores will vary from agency to agency.

Joe also prepared a handout taken from Bankrate.com.  This link provides credit repair FAQs and answers the following questions:

  • Does consumer credit counseling pay off the balances?

  • Can I raise my credit score by closing inactive credit?

  • Should I subscribe to one of those $99 credit report services?

  • How can I work with my creditors to get the bills paid off?

  • Can I get lenders to remove charge-offs from my credit report?

  • Should I negotiate with a collection agency or the lender?

If you need help repairing your credit, Joe can refer you to someone that can help.

Finally, Joe touched on the more pressing local housing issues.  The attached handout, Economic and Market Watch Report - 1st Quarter, 2007 by ARMLS provides detailed information including local reports, trends, commentary, local forecast and economic monitor.
