Main Speaker

[membersonly/archives/former_members/taylor.htm]

Steve Taylor was born in 1954.  He came from a poor family so he didn't have the opportunity to go to college.  He got into construction right out of high school.

He has several "severals" in his life...several marriages, several kids, several moves to several states, etc.  But he has only been  fired once, by Del Webb.  They had recruited him 15 years earlier.  This was the company that brought him to Arizona.  Getting fired was probably the best thing to ever happen to him.  He got into a partnership building doors.  The company was very successful.

Two years ago they started Raymac Construction.  They have doubled their revenue from last year to this year and we are only half way through the year.  They have several property management communities as clients.  But they are still trying to find their niche.  Now that they are getting busy, they can be more selective about the jobs they do take.  Steve does everything himself except for the bulk of the physical work.   Like most companies, he finds it hard to find good employees.

He joined MABE to learn how to run a business.

He is also trying to find his advertising niche.
