-
Phil Passante - Plan on asking existing customers
for referrals to people just like them.
-
John Passante - Spend more time with my family.
Try to take sons with me to work and more date
nights with my wife.
-
Greg Stewart - Spend more time with my grandkids
doing the cowboy "Arizona thing".
-
Scott Young - Pursue our military avenues more
aggressively than we have.
-
Mark Dreher - Focus on increasing staff training and
consistency in following policies and procedures and
controlling growth.
-
Fred Vandervort - Continue upgrading equipment.
How? Go to the bank.
-
Robert Busch - Move away from DEX yellow pages and
use website. Stop spending money on useless
expenses.
-
Dave Spiess - Keep the pressure on our employees to
be proficient and keep the ball rolling. Push
them to get certifications - internal competition.
-
Guy
Sawyer - Spend more time with my parents while they
are still here. I will continue to do bathroom
remodels which I really enjoy.
-
Althea Bussert - Business-Take one day at a time and
letting customers take the ball when it comes to
referrals. Personally-Adding studio in house
so I can get back into weaving and other crafts.
-
Amy
Ahrensdorf - Take kitchen philosophy out on a
national campaign. Get away from administering
all these meals. Personally...be more in the
present.
-
Mark Howard - Continue to absorb the growth we've
had and examine transition plans. Look and see
if the things we are staying busy with have been
productive. Look inwardly as a family to see
if doing what we need to be doing - giving to
charity.
-
David Lathrop - Allowing myself to be coached by
people that have been more successful than I have
been - more successful in business. More
proficient in my non-profit work.
-
Steve Chilton - Do a lot less work for more money.
I don't know how to do it yet. Probably sack
two people.
-
Bob
Becker - Spend more time working with the Lions
Club. Spend more time with granddaughter.
-
Jim
Bache - No grand plans to change anything in
business. Don't want to grow...want to coast.
The nature of business has changed but in a way that
is more profitable. Will probably drop my
yellow page listing. Not happy with them.
We track how we get business. Rarely do we get
anyone that came to us via the yellow pages and when
they do it is a client we don't want. I am
listed on the bar site and I am getting referrals
from them. Personally - the two big projects
are going to get the plane painted and perhaps get
serious about building a second house up in Heber.
-
Don
Ellis - I would like to see Candy working a little
less than she does. First step is to convince
her. Do more things with my grandkids.
-
Denver Johnson - Be more persistent about getting
out and do less fishing, more catching. How?
New equipment.
-
Dennis Johnson - We are packed busy 10-months out of
the year and I like it this way. Don't want to
expand again.
-
Bill LaLonde - In our business we are trying to
position ourselves in a more expensive market as
opposed to cookie-cutter pools. Custom pools
are more enjoyable to do and more profitable.
-
Stuart Schindler - I'm not changing a thing from
this past year. I've been doing a lot more
color work and the small guys can do it faster and
better.
-
Andy Jensen - I am going to have a record business
this year despite my health problems. I don't
want to say I won't change a thing because dying was
no fun but the pity referrals have been consistent.
On a personal note I will try to get my family
through a vacation, again, without me dying!
-
Joe
Zingal (spelled wrong on purpose - you had to be
there) - If we could duplicate this year again we
would. We grew by leaps and bounds. Personally
I would like to loose a lot of wait in a short
period of time and drink better wine.
-
Dave Crissman - Chang my attitude about losing key
employees and competing against them. My
business may not change but my attitude can.
-
Sandro Menasci - Focus more on the advertising which
I started this year. We didn't have such a
great year this year but the whole industry has
been. Next year will be better. I
believe in systems. I like to put systems into
place and let the employees be in charge and be
responsible and give them more of the pie. I
stay in the background and fill in when needed.
I take home less but it is what I need to do if I
want to stay home more and let the business run
itself. Personally, I want to get back to the
ski slopes with my sons and grandkids.
-
Phyllis Prater - I realized that there are a lot of
high-end customers but I have spent most of my time
with the middle clients and that segment isn't doing
much. The jewelry business is like a roller
coaster ride right now. But God is just
awesome to me. I am just sailing and having a
ball! Personally, I like great grandkids.
-
Jana Greene - Deferring my time to the speaker.
-
Lin
Schmelzer - This year was better than last.
Next year I hope to be better than this. I
hope to spend less time working and more time
traveling.
-
Carole Weishaar - Focus on my customers and use
different tools to do that. Reinvent myself
one more time. Our Arizona group is merging
with a Texas company. We will still remain
independent but it is an opportunity to have better
technology and offer round-the-clock service.
My grandkids are at the age where they like me and I
want to spend time with them. My charity work
fills my tank.
-
Lisa Wolfe - I am advertising my company on the
radio and I am thrilled with my website. I am
putting an audio studio in my office.
-
Chris Curran - I am very conflicted about the law.
Saw two people become judges, one I have beat
repeatedly and the other I wouldn't even let wash my
car. I am going to try and focus more on being
around more people that are positive and at the same
level. My other business is real estate and
the suckers are getting weeded out fast. One
thing I know I am not going to do is pay my CPA so
much money next year.
