Keith Miller - I feel that MABE has gotten away from what
MABE is about. We have gotten away from our objectives and
business discussions.
Dave Crissman - I have an opposing opinion to Keith.
I am not a group person but I value MABE so much and the
people I have met through this group. My spark is that
I hear things here that you don't hear other places.
Roman Okonowski - I believe spark has to come from the
individual. You get what you give. I have gone
through changes this last year and missed many meetings.
I missed it. You are going to get out what you put in.
We have been together 18 years. The bottom line is, it
doesn't matter if we are in the bar or parking lot, what
matters is what you put into it.
Nick Mawrenko - For me this organization was great right
from the beginning because of the combined brain power.
This is a drive for me but I don't care about the drive, the
location or the food. I care about the people.
This is my year to get to know everyone here on a different
level. I agree with Roman. It is what you put
into it. I can echo what Keith is saying.
Sometimes you don't feel like coming because you hear the
same old story. But that is apathy. I feel that
the leader has a big impact. Goals help you focus and
get results. So for my tenure I wanted to set goals.
And I ran into that road of apathy. In the new year I
am refocusing on those goals. I think there are three different reasons people come
here. Think about why you come here and put some
effort into revitalizing that. If you can't do that,
maybe it is time to move on.
Mike Whalen - It is like JFK would say, it is not what
MABE can do for you but what you can do for MABE.
Dave Crissman - There are givers and takers in this
world. This group is full of givers. Everyone
that has been president of this group has gone through what
you [Nick] are going through.
