Leads & Introductions
Members introduced themselves and announced leads and thank you's. 

Member Spotlight
This week's spotlight is Stacy Hyder.  Normally I would ask you to please keep this member top of mind this week for referrals.  But given her profession, let's hope none of you have to refer someone to her!

Meeting Schedule
May 28 - NO MEETING
June 4 - David Hepburn Jr., Mentoring Your Success
June 11 - Marketing Strategy, ThreeDames Webworks

There will NOT be meetings on the Friday's before Memorial Day or 4th of July. 

Board Reports
There will be a board meeting first Friday in June.

Social (Janice Jaicks) - We had a great happy hour last Friday.  It is nice to get together as a small group and get to know each other better.  We will try to do a happy hour once a month.

Treasurer (Nick Mawrenko) - Nick Mawrenko reviewed our financial position with the group.  Five new members would get us back to a comfortable position. 

Question - If we waive the initiation fees, will it be easier to bring in new members?  There were varied opinions. 

  • Scheduling has been the issue, not money.

  • Have them pay last month's dues up front.

  • Give current members an incentive to bring in new members.

  • Have a membership competition, form teams.

At the next meeting we will draw names and form teams.

Today's Program:  Small Table Topics
The group broke into 3 sections and discussed the following questions...

TABLE 1

  • What percentage of annual sales does your largest customer make up?  (What do you think is appropriate?)

  • Besides material and payroll, what is the percentage of your biggest company expense and what is that expense?

  • Do you have a business plan?  How often do you update it?

  • Have you adjusted it in recent years to account for the flux in the economy?

TABLE 2

  • How often do you update your website?

  • Has Facebook or LinkedIn provided you with any business?

  • How often have you been checking your social media sites?

  • Do you invest in the stock market?  Have you in the past?  Do you continue to do so?

  • When do you plan to retire?

TABLE 3

  • Do you exercise regularly?

  • What types of physical activities do you participate in?

  • What is your lifestyle plan for this month?

  • Does the economy seem to be changing in your industry?

  • What keeps you positive?

  • In your opinion what will help the AZ economy in regards to the border and immigration?
