Today's Program - Terry Schnelle

Terry is from Oregon.  He grew up in a large family.  His first job was as a school janitor at 14-years of age.  He then went to work at a local grocery store where he worked his way up threw the positions.  He spent a short time in Alaska.  There was no work in the northwest so he moved to Arizona where his sister was already living.  He worked at Labelle's before accepting a job as a dock worker for Home Depot.  He worked his way up to operations manager.  It a lot of work opening new stores but he enjoyed it.  But as they grew it become left personable so he left and went to work for Lowe's.  He didn't enjoy his new job and decided to go out on his own.

In 2001 he became a window cleaner.  New construction was booming and business was good.  At Home Depot he learned the importance of customer service.  He took this with him to his new business.  Unlike the big guys that only clean windows, Terry offers those extra, personal services such as his "ladder services" where he will change your filters and replace smoke detector batteries.  People appreciate this and remember him.

New construction is dying out.  So lately he has been working at a lot of retirement communities.  He is looking to diversity and build his clientele.

He recommends you wash your windows at least once of year, but preferably twice a year.  Take them the screens and off and hoses them off front and back.  Don't spray them while they are still on the windows.

His number one goal is customer service.  Customers are happy when he leaves and want him to come back.
