Meeting Minutes
The reading of the minutes of the
last board meetings was waived.
Christmas Party Entertainment
Randy Clark has offered to play for free at our Christmas party.
We would have to pay his partner $150 and cover social fees. A
motion was made and approved to accept this fee and waiving of
dinner fees.
It was agreed that we include a list of names
of those attending the holiday party on weekly emails. This
will help members remember names of spouses. It will also
remind people that they are signed up/haven't signed up.
A suggestion was made to have a rose for all
women attending the holiday party. A motion was made and
seconded for MABE to pay for roses.
MABE Logo
Lin decided to redesign two more logo options. We will put
them out to the group for a vote when they are ready. We have
been waiting on the logo to print the brochure.
Brochure Ideas
One idea is a permanent jacket with plastic sleeves for business
cards to be inserted. The disadvantage is not being able to
give everyone's information out at once.
List that can go on a refrigerator. Give
them a piece of paper instead of brochure. Have website
address people can use to get more information. Magnets.

Annual Duties of MABE Board
November is our opportunity to get back on track. Barbara
Kollman has the financial items under control and will have a
financial report for the group.
Big Kahuna Contest
Need to determine prizes. Three different prizes. The
last the best. Quarter free dues. Bring in somebody,
worth one quarter to get three more out of it. Next, nice
pleasant surprise gift - gift certificate they choose what they want
$100.
Door Prize
Early bird drawing. Drop card in hat at beginning of meeting.
Give away a door prize. Might encourage people to attend on
time. Value of up to $25. Every week at 7:15 the names
are drawn. Raffle tickets.
