MABE Board Member Meeting Minutes

Purpose:
To vote on the allocation of MABE funds for the Holiday party on December 14th.

Ryan Bohlander - President (recording minutes)
Sandro Manashi - Historian
Jeff Sutherlin - Social (absentee ballot)
Mark Manashi - Membership (absentee ballot)

Proceedings:
Mr. Bohlander welcomed everyone to the call. Given two board members present and two board members submitting absentee votes, Mr. Bohander indicated that a quorum was reached and this vote could proceed. The purpose of the call was stated and the voting options were presented. Mr. Bohlander noted that the conference call service used for the call was a free service and that MABE funds were not needed for the call.

Discussion:
M. Bohlander then asked for feedback regarding the options from membership. In conjunction with this, Ryan indicated that two members contacted him prior to the call and mentioned that they were not in favor of using MABE funds for the party. Mr. Bohlander, Mr. (Sandro) Manashi, and Mr. Ellis discussed the current budget status of MABE all indicating concern that the organization is running a deficit (around $300/month considering fixed expenses with a bank balance of $5483 on 10/31.

Vote:
Following discussion, the present board members voted and their votes were totaled with absentee votes. Vote results dictated that MABE funds would not be used to subsidize the holiday party.
